Call for Pennsylvanian Artists 

Penn State Health is seeking applications from qualified artists, to be considered for commissions of artwork and artwork purchase, installing in June 2021, at the Hampden Medical Center in Enola, PA, currently under construction. This is an open call for Pennsylvanian artists or teams of artists who reside or have resided in Pennsylvania. We strongly encourage artists who represent diversity to apply.
Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center is a community medical center serving patients and families in south central Pennsylvania. The approximately 300,000-square-foot facility will include maternity, medical surgical, emergency, radiology, operating and ICU units and support services with a total of 108 inpatient rooms. The art is intended to engage patients, family members and staff of all ages and diverse backgrounds. We encourage art that is interactive, narrative and timeless.
With opportunities for artwork in a wide variety of mediums including original art, oil, watercolor, and acrylic paintings, limited edition prints, giclee prints, mixed media art, glass, mosaics, wall sculpture, fabric art, collages, and photography. Existing and commissioned artwork will be considered. Art will be placed in elevator lobbies, corridors, meditation spaces, waiting and consultation rooms, patient rooms, and a variety of other public areas. This Call for Artists includes artworks ranging from $300 to $15,000 for an art collection that total around $400,000.
