The Dunlevie Family Garden, a rooftop courtyard over the hospital operating rooms, is meant to be a garden of discovery. Meandering pathways are full of surprises, where 10 large child-friendly exhibits were created featuring animals of California. Aesthetics commissioned the concept design from artist Michael Green and orchestrated the exhibit development, fabrication and installation from the company COST of Wisconsin.

Extensive coordination was needed with client committees, architectural and construction teams throughout the process.

The Emerald Garden Play Area, designed by artistSherri Warner Hunter, features 12 major mosaic artworks of fanciful sea creatures on an “ocean”of play area safety rubber surfacing.
