The Landmark Collection Art Fundraising Catalogue/Event

A committee comprised of physicians, nurses, architectural and design specialists and other hospital staff intimately familiar with patient sensitivities reviewed works of art submitted for consideration by more than 400 Central Coast artists. The 1200 pieces selected to enhance the healing experience for patients and staff were planned to be placed in the garden, public spaces, waiting areas , and patient rooms. Mediums included oil and acrylic paintings, sculpture, fabric, glass, and photography.

The catalog created by a partnership between Aesthetics and the Santa Barbara Cottage Health team provided a preview of specially commissioned pieces and collections based on a variety of themes that were to be reflected on each floor of the new hospital.

This created a unique opportunity for donors, patrons and community leaders to contribute to the Healing Arts Program by sponsoring at a live auction-style event, the art depicted in this catalog.
