Located just outside Special Collections & Archives in the Geisel Library, the donor recognition display is a tribute to the writing style of the library’s namesake Theodor Geisel (also known as Dr. Seuss): short but meaningful bursts of words, bright color, bold and impactful style.

The mission, vision and values of the library, as well as donor names, appear on colored panels that reflect existing colorful glass panels found at the main entrance of the facility. Large black and white images of the major donors offset the bright colors and highlight the generosity of these major gifts. A rear projection panel is also integrated into the design and features content put together by the university.

A quote from Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax appears on a header above the display and gives prominence to this iconic donor, and sets the philanthropic tone for the display.
