At Aesthetics, we love working with artists, and Ken and Stephanie Goldman are one of our favorite artist teams.
Ken and Stephanie have an enormous amount of experience and talent working in many forms from large scale murals, to drawing and painting in a variety of media. They have been a joy to work with over the years, always coming up with creative solutions and welcoming client feedback. They are very reliable and can paint just about anything, from children and adults to animals, landscapes, seascapes, and outer space scenes. Known as teachers of painters and world renown for their exhibitions, we are proud to include them as part of our team.
Ken Goldman is an internationally known artist, author, teacher and art juror. A recipient of numerous awards, Goldman has exhibited widely in various group shows and solo exhibitions in China, Italy, Holland, Paris, Mexico, New York, Boston and Washington DC.
The author of eight instructional books on pastels, acrylics, charcoal and artist anatomy, Goldman has been featured in magazines, including The Art of Watercolour, Southwest Art, International Artist, Watercolor Magic, Splash 12 & 13, and The Artist’s Magazine, among others. He is a Signature Member of the National Watercolor Society, American Watercolor Society, San Diego Watercolor Society, International Society of Acrylic Painters and the Pastel Society of America. His education includes the National Academy of Design, Art Student’s League, and the New York Studio School. Ken teaches figure painting, artistic anatomy, and plein air landscape at the Athenaeum School of the Arts in La Jolla and in workshops across the country.
Stephanie Goldman is known for her richly colored figures, insightful portraits, boldly painted miniatures and dynamic watercolors, charcoal, pencil and ink drawings. She imbues all her work with focused creativity and experimentation that intrigues collectors and critics alike. Some of her exhibitions include fifteen unique portraits of children entitled I Am A Child at The Riverside Art Museum, Bearing Exquisite Witness at the Joan Croc Institute for Peace and Justice USD, a special portrait unveiling of director Erika Torrey commissioned by the Board of Trustees for the Athenaeum in La Jolla, and many group exhibitions including the SD Museum of Art, Gotthelf Gallery-La Jolla, SD Art Institute, SD Natural History Museum, Hyde Art Gallery – Grossmont College, Boehm Gallery-Palomar College and the Springfield Museum in Illinois as well as group exhibitions in China.
A selection of her work has been reproduced by Frontline Publishing and Ramprod and Eastmeetswestco. She has co-authored a new book with Ken Goldman titled The Complete Book of Poses for Artists. They have worked together for over two decades collaborating on large and small Public and Private Art Projects for hospitals and healing centers. Stephanie teaches figure painting and portraiture at the Athenaeum School of the Arts in La Jolla and at workshops around the country.
