Always striving to exceed our clients’ expectations, the Aesthetics team is comprised of architects, interior designers, graphic designers, arts consultants, fundraising professionals, project coordinators, administrative support staff and seasoned strategic business consultants. Within our office we nurture a unique organizational culture that is collaborative, creative and collegial, rooted in the principles of what it means to be part of a diverse community.

Annette Ridenour, President

Annette has been a pioneer in applying the arts to improve health and healthcare. She served as one of the original board members of the Society for the Arts in Healthcare, and she co-founded the Blair L. Sadler International Healing Arts Competition, which recognized exemplary arts projects that have measurably improved the quality of healthcare. Numerous articles by her, about her, and about Aesthetics have appeared in publications that include Healthcare Design, Health Facilities Management, Healthcare Building Ideas, and Spirituality & Health. Annette is a member of the Planetree Visionary Design Network which provides holistic design services to Planetree members.

Carolyn Floyd, Finance Manager

Carolyn Floyd retired after a 33-year executive career in banking and joined Aesthetics in late 2021. At Aesthetics, she manages our Finance department, contracts and billing and provides project support. Carolyn is knowledgeable in large scale, multi-year project management, vendor management and daily operations. During her career, Carolyn managed technology and facilities departments, including being Chief Information Officer, for several large banks and credit unions.

Naj Wikoff, National Marketing Representative

An expert about bringing original art into healthcare settings, Naj Wikoff has successfully established arts programming in healthcare facilities and medical schools. He has trained artists on how to work in clinical and community settings, has organized arts collections, and has developed strategic funding plans for healthcare organizations and community institutions. Naj is the former Director of the Healing and the Arts Project, C. Everett Koop Institute at Dartmouth College, and a past President of the Society for the Arts in Healthcare. He is a founding member of both the Institute of Arts & Health at Lesley University and the National Initiative for Arts in Health in the Military.

Roger Hill, Director of Architectural Services and Exterior Wayfinding

An architect with 30+ years of professional experience, Roger Hill has led more than 15 exterior wayfinding design and planning projects at major medical centers. He also has led “whole hospital analysis” projects, and provides recommendations for wayfinding, traffic circulation, parking, and architectural guidelines designed to improve the facility’s appearance and the patient and visitor experience.

Pam Nickell, Senior Arts Program Manager

Pam has been with Aesthetics since 1999 and has provided coordination and accurate documentation of various arts projects for over 14 years. In her role with creating arts programs, she is responsible for the art request for proposal process and coordination of presentations of art, reviewing and cataloguing art and commissioning original signature artworks collections for public spaces within hospitals. She also oversees art installations. Pam maintains relationships and serves as liaison with numerous artists and clients and ensures continuous communication with print house and framing representatives.

Julie Lorenz, LEED AP, NCIDQ, Interior Designer

With 15 years of healthcare design experience, Julie has worked for healthcare design firms in Denver and Boulder, Colorado as well as Sacramento and San Diego, California. Her Arts experience comes from work in theatrical set design, and as a talented scenic artist. Lorenz has a diverse skill set and currently balances working with both the art and interiors teams at Aesthetics. She is proud to hold both her NCIDQ certification and LEED Professional Accreditation.
