PATIENT EXPERIENCE DESIGN. By providing a nurturing and inspiring physical environment, an organization demonstrates that they value and respect the needs of their patients, families and staff, which in turn can lead to a positive impression in the level of care. When patients are happy, they will promote a brand to their friends and families by word of mouth, a leading method of obtaining new business for healthcare organizations. ART CONSULTING. Aesthetics has been designing and facilitating art programs for healthcare institutions for over 35 years. During this period our work has evolved to be more research-driven and community-based. Today, there exists a strong body of research literature that guides our recommendations of what types of artwork are appropriate for different patient populations. In developing an evidence-based arts program, Aesthetics applies an extensive library of credible research studies that indicate which types of art have positive therapeutic benefits for patients, such as less medication, less pain, improved attitudes, and perception of reduced waiting time. Healing art has also shown to reduce stress and improve positive attitudes for caregivers.
Aesthetics has created strategies to ensure the efficiency and ease of the commissioning and installation process, the coordination with hospital and design teams, and the consideration of the needs of patients and families. Our experienced art consulting team is well-versed in building and fire codes, and can ensure that the selection, fabrication and installation of artwork is architecturally integrated into the built environment. Using the expertise of our in-house architects and interior designers, Aesthetics provides recommendations for lighting and power needs, structural backing, finishes, and installation details.
DONOR RECOGNITION & ENVIRONMENTAL GRAPHICS. Donor recognition systems, history displays, value displays and other environmental graphics help to reinforce an organization’s brand as well as reward and promote community investment and participation. Because Aesthetics Inc. is a multi-disciplinary art and design firm, we bring a unique perspective and set of skills to the task of creating what might otherwise be ordinary displays.
